What the 2026 bulletin asks for
These figures are from Step 2 of the CUET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin, published by the National Testing Agency on 3 January 2026. Read on 20 October 2026.
| File | Format | Size | Other rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scanned photograph | JPG/JPEG, clearly legible | 10–200 KB | Recent, passport size, in colour, 80% face including ears, no mask, white background |
| Signature | JPG/JPEG, clearly legible | 10–50 KB | None stated alongside the size |
| Live photograph | Taken in the form | No file to prepare | Taken at the time of filling the application |
Two photographs, and only one is made here
The bulletin asks for both a live photograph, uploaded at the time of filling the application form, and a recent scanned passport-size photograph in colour. The live photograph is taken inside the application with your camera, so there is nothing to prepare for it. The scanned photograph is the file this tool makes: it must show 80% of the face including the ears, without a mask, against a white background.
The signature is capped lower than for NEET and JEE Main
CUET (UG) 2026 allows a signature of 10 to 50 KB. NEET (UG) 2026 and JEE (Main) 2026 allow 10 to 100 KB, and the UGC NET December 2026 bulletin allows 10 to 50 KB like CUET. A signature scan you made for NEET can be too large for CUET, so make a separate one. The tool keeps it under 50 KB.
No pixel size is set
The bulletin gives file sizes and a format, and no width or height. The tool saves the photograph in passport-style proportions and the signature as a three-to-one strip, and may enlarge a very plain signature to reach the 10 KB minimum.
Step by step
Choose CUET (UG) 2026, add a recent passport-style picture of yourself against a white wall, and frame it so your face and ears fill most of the picture. Check the size shown is between 10 and 200 KB, download, and do the same for your signature with the 10 to 50 KB range. Take the live photograph when the form asks for it.
