How do I make a PDF small enough to email?
Most email services cap attachments at around 25 MB, and many job or government portals ask for far less. Start with the Balanced level, check the new size shown after compressing, and switch to Strong if you still need to go smaller.
Why is my text no longer selectable after compressing?
To achieve a large size reduction in the browser, each page is re-rendered as a high-quality image. That is what removes the bulk, but it also means the text becomes part of the picture. If you need the text to stay searchable, keep the original file for your records.
