Frequently asked questions

Half my scan is sideways. Can I fix just those pages?

Yes — rotate each page individually. This is the usual result of a document feeder scanning alternate sheets the other way up, and it is exactly what per-page rotation is for. The rotation is saved into the file, so it opens correctly everywhere rather than just looking right on your screen.

Does reorganising reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied across exactly as they are, with no re-encoding, so text stays selectable and images keep their full resolution. The file size stays roughly the same too — removing pages is the only thing that makes it meaningfully smaller.

Can I remove a blank page from a scan?

Yes. Mark it for removal and it is left out of the saved file. Blank pages from double-sided scanning are one of the most common reasons to use this, and dropping them also shrinks the file.

What is the difference between this and Split PDF?

Split PDF pulls pages out into separate files. This one rebuilds a single document — rotating, removing and reordering pages within it. Use Split when you want several files out, and this when you want one tidy file.
